Heather began her career in physical therapy working at UCSF outpatient physical therapy. Her next stop was Active Care, a cutting- edge outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practice associated with Alta Bates Medical Center in Berkeley, CA with an emphasis on sports rehab and working with many of CAL athletes. She spent some time working Greg and Vicki Johnson in their Kentfield practice before joining Michael Go and Mel Young to open Embarcadero Physical Therapy in the Financial District in San Francisco. She has completed an extensive list of specialized training courses, in particular the 2 year long orthopedic residency programs with Michael Moore and Dennis Morgan at Folsom Physical Therapy. She is equally adept at rehabilitating both spinal and extremity orthopedic problems with a special expertise in spinal stabilization training and neuromuscular re-education. She is able to quickly to identify the sources of patient’s pain complaints and develop treatment plans which effectively manage these problems quickly and efficiently. She is a master educator and especially enjoys working one-on-one with her clients to train them in self management and care. On the weekends Heather enjoys hiking, swimming, cycling, skiing and spending time with her family.
